The Working Trials Club of Ireland is a voluntary dog training club based in Tymon Park, Limekiln Road entrance in Tallaght, Dublin 12. We provide training classes in obedience, agility and working trials.

June Notices:

  • 08/07/06 Take a look at the photos section. Anna's photos of Athy '08 have been added as a slideshow. Thanks a million to her for sharing them with us.
  • 07/07/08  We have two agility displays coming up at the South Dublin County Council family days.  The first is on Sunday 13th July in Tymon Park (Spawell entrance), the second is Sunday 20th July in Corkagh Park. Both start at 2pm. Anyone currently training or competing in agility that's interested in participating should contact either John or Nigel.
  • 07/07/07 The WCAOI August schedule is available to download on the Events page.
  • 07/07/08 All our September classes are booked out already. The next session available for booking is November 2008. 
  •  25/06/08 The events page has been updated. The BCCI Obed Ch. Show in July is the first show added to the new page. Older info is still there just further down the page. Let me know what you think of the new format.

May Notices:

  • 30/05/08 ATHY 2008 IS NO PICNIC. For those of you who don't feel like making up pack lunches there will be food available on site again this year. George will be there with his catering van selling food and refreshments from about 11.00am until mid afternoon on the two days of the show.  
  • 29/05/08 Don’t forget the BBQ on Sunday night @ the WTCI marquee, We are meeting at 19.30. Competitors who booked a place should collect their complementary BBQ vouchers during the show on Sunday. Limited additional vouchers can be purchased at a cost of €15.
  • 28/05/08 ATHY 2008 SETS NEW RECORD. This year's entry for Athy has reached a new level with 101 dogs entered and far in excess of 750 competitive runs expected over the weekend. Now for the serious bit. With this very impressive entry in mind, competitors and all those attending the show are asked to remember that this is a busy caravan park and consideration should be given to those who are not associated with our show. We would also ask that only the designated areas be used for excersising dogs and as always, clean up. We greatly appreciate the permission to use such an ideal venue and I'm sure everybody would like to look forward to returning here in the future.
  • 26/05/08 Only a few days to go to the most talked about agility weekend of the year - Athy 2008. (Or Emo as most people still refer to it). WTCI would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their continued support helping to make this show become one of the most successful and enjoyable events on the calendar. Remember it all kicks off on Saturday evening when the WTCI Marquee will be open to all. We wish you a safe journey wherever you may be travelling from and look forward to seeing you at the weekend.

  • 28/03/08 Don't forget! Registration for puppies who have signed up for classes takes place this Sunday 30th March. 04/04/08 Classes full. Bookings being taken for September classes.
  • 08/03/08 Thanks to everyone who got involved in the agility demo today. We had a great day and it was a great chance for beginners to have a go on the agility equipment and get more involved in the social side of the club. We hope to have another demo day soon.
  • 02/03/08 We will be holding another Irish Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme test day soon. For details look at the link on the Classes page or click here.

  • 23/02/08 We will be ordering club branded clothing at the end of March. Details are available in the "club gear" section of the "about WTCI" page or by clicking here.
  • 20/02/08 We are taking bookings for places in our April puppy class. Apply on-line on the "Classes" page at the left of this screen or by clicking here. All other classes are booked up for this session. 02/04/08 All classes are now full. We are taking bookings for september classes.
